Boizão, Tampa’s newest, Brazilian-style steakhouse has welcomed more than 10,000 guests who have enjoyed dining on several tons of freshly prepared, premium grilled meats during the past few weeks since the West Shore restaurant first opened in late March.
Boizão (pronounce “boy ZOW”) features 14 cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and sausage that are grilled and carved tableside Rodizo-style by Gaucho chefs. Each cut is seasoned, skewered and slowly roasted over an open fire.
Recent hikes in beef prices required managers to raise the full lunch price by $1 – the light lunch price remains $12.90 - and dinner from $38.90 to $41.90. All meals are accompanied by freshly baked cheese rolls, seasoned mashed potatoes and crispy fried plantains that complement the wide range of succulent meats as well as the bountiful salad bar that boasts imported cheeses, fresh vegetables, traditional Brazilian salads side dishes that include beans and rice.
“We are very excited by numbers of people who have been to Boizao and pleased by the wonderful reception we have received in Tampa,” said Paulo Guimaraes, general manager of the authentic Brazilian-style steakhouse.
“We regret having to raise prices on June 1, but must ensure that we maintain the quality of premium meats that our customers have come to expect,” he said, citing increased beef prices and transportation costs for contributing to the restaurant’s increasingly costly shipments of the tons of meats.
Boizao’s fixed price menu includes the elaborate appetizer and salad buffet and side dishes that are served tableside. The churrasco-style dining experience combines fine dining with an entertaining presentation and interactive customer service component.
