The musical and mini concert is part of an effort to bring to the stage the life and music of contemporary African American musicians. The play opens June 14th To June 24th at the Times Square Arts Center located at 300 W 43rd St Room 411 NYC 10036. The show times are Thursday to Saturday at 8pm, Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 4pm. Designer Kay-O states, "This story about Barry White needs to be told in off Broadway and Broadway venues. We applaud and support Mr Thrower's efforts. Kingsway's Founder Michael Olajide feels that as an African American owned and operated facility that they have an obligation to step up in support of those creative ventures that help promote Black history and fairness in sports and the arts. Barry White, a boxing fan and close friend of Muhammad Ali, grew up in LA as a tough gang member and street fighter who found success as a music artist. Kingsway is providing the use of it's facility for the Free to the public Pre-opening party for the musical Barry White: Guided By Destiny and also for the release of Kay-O's "Date Jeans".

Jean Designer Kay-O of NYC is unveiling her new creation called "Date Jeans" at the Free event hosted by them for the Barry White Musical pre-opening. The jeans come with a supply of "date cards" to be given to potential partners by the wearers of the jeans. This radical approach to dating and romance allows women to approach potential partners at any location or on the street in an unobtrusive and open friendly manner . The Box-Me card and sexy jeans with logo says it all. "I'm Interested.. This would make even Barry White smile. The card offers several choices to circle, such as 'Let's be friends" or "Call me". This fresh approach to dating, romance and fashion is the brainchild of African American designer Kay- O.

When there is a big bout going on at Madison Square Garden, it is here that fighters come to prepare themselves and sign autographs.
