Amanda Marchant (18) & Sam Marchant (18) – Barbie-looking twins Amanda and Sam are from Newcastle and will be doing everything together in the house. They both entered Britain’s most famous house in pink Hawaiian skirts with flower necklaces and have confessed they don’t mind sharing their men. Both social workers they have said “You’ve never seen anything like us in the house. We love pink, boys, champagne, Barbie and hate chavs”.
Carole Vincent (53) – An unemployed left-wing activist from East London, she is separated from her cheating husband and with her extreme political views and brashness she’s sure to be at the centre of any heated debates and arguments. She also has a rare eating disorder which means she is cannot munch until after 9pm, and then binges throughout the night on cheese and biscuits, bread, and cereal.
Chanelle Hayes (19) – One of the bits of eye candy in the house, she models herself on Victoria Beckham and said she’s not happy unless at least two people tell her she looks like the former Spice Girl when she’s out. She was booed going in, and told other housemates when she got into the house that she almost burst into tears.
Charley Uchea (21) – Another who was booed going into the house, mainly because she’s a wannabe WAG without a job. Unless she turns out to be the next Jade Goody her days in the house already look numbered. She is from East London, brought a staggering 60 pairs of knickers into the house and is the cousin of Manchester United’s and England’s Kieran Richardson.
Laura Williams (23) – Big Brother are sticking with the Welsh theme after Imogen and Glen last year as busty Laura also comes from the valleys. She looks one of the saner and fun ones to enter and has emerged as an early front-runner in the betting. This nanny says her pals think she looks like Vicky Pollard, and Peter Kay, but to me she’s more of a Pauline Quirke from Birds of a Feather. She hates smoking, drinking, was a swot at school and sweeps leaves at her local graveyard for free. She has also gone on record as saying “I talk too fast, and too much”.
Lesley Brain (60) – Lesley was third in the house, and is the oldest ever housemate in the normal Big Brother. Granny Lesley is a Women’s Institute member and an erotic novelist. The former head teacher claims to have Charles and Camilla as her social acquaintances, and also warned show bosses of terrible tantrums.
Tracey Barnard (36) – Where to start here! The show claim to have a house full of ladies but I’m not so sure. A hippy raver, she shouted “Have it” constantly on her entrance to the house, and after a few weeks in the house looks sure to be must-watch TV.
She’s not worn make-up for 15 years, lives in a caravan, and claims that when she evicted from the house all she will be wearing is her smile.
Shabnam Paryani (22) – This housemate looks destined to have a short shelf-life in the show. A wannabe actress who loves the sound of her own voice, she says “I’m an enigma, people love to talk to me and are drawn to me”. She still lives with her mum in North London, and loves clothes and make-up. On entrance she screamed she was nervous and for people to cheer her, which is bound to have the opposite effect, while she was one of the first to realise that the house was filling up with just girls.
Nicky Maxwell (27) – Another one for the boys, pretty Nicky was an orphan in an Indian slum where she was cared for by Mother Teresa. She’s now adopted by Irish and Anglo-Indian parents and is a Catholic. She’s hinted she might be gay, so must be pleased by the amount of girls in the house at this stage, while she also claims to be into “extreme cleaning”.
Emily Parr (19) – Yet another who fits into the “pretty” category, Emily has appeared as an extra on Casualty a few years back, and made her film debut, again as an extra, in Dirty Dancing 2:Havana Nights. She’s been likened to Peaches Geldof, and got one of the more positive responses from the crowd on her entrance.
