We are putting together a new resource for people with alcohol problems and would like to interview people who have ‘been there’ and are now willing to give an hour of their time. We feel that your experience could be a powerful tool to help others experiencing similar problems. This is a very new approach which, as far as we know has not been tried elsewhere, so there is the opportunity to be part of a pioneering project.
An experienced psychologist who has carried out many research studies and has been involved in both treatment and education for nearly 25 years will conduct the interview. Although it will consist of a number of open questions the interview will be mainly a vehicle for you to discuss your experiences. You will no be asked to reveal anything sensitive if you do not wish to and you can end the interview anytime you want. No payment will be offered or should be expected.
