The American Society for Training and Development will showcase Birkman consultant Augusta Horsey Nash at this year’s international conference and exposition.
Nash will be delivering a lecture entitled “Present Yourself with Presence” at the annual conference in Atlanta on June 6, which seeks to spread and promote the latest thinking and trends affecting workplace learning and performance.
“What 'body' will you take with you to your next interview or meeting?” said Nash. “Nervous and all over the place? Or confident and successful?”
Nash will instruct the audience to prepare the physical body to make a lasting impression, using props, music, and insights provided by the proven Birkman Method ® for personality assessment in order to control and craft a powerful kinetic image.
Key points that will be discussed include:
1. Knowing the secret skill of body and mood and its importance in making an impression.
2. Feeling the difference in response to certain body energies.
3. Having three ways to prepare your body to create the impact you want.
The Birkman method is a sophisticated personality profile which helps people determine their most compelling interests, preferred workstyles, and motivational needs and then matches them with appropriate career choices, representing the cutting edge in workplace technology.
Developed initially as a way to find who would be the best fighter pilots for the U.S. Air Force, the Birkman exam has quickly become the leading index of motivation, desire, work habits, and stressors.
“The Birkman method gives people the tools to understand who they are and where they are going,” said Nash.
