Mister Benton and cover artist Melanie Calvert presented the senator an autographed copy of the book signed by the two of them.  Benton, who is in Mississippi to promote the Drum Series stated, "I am very pleased that Senator Burton was willing to take time from his busy schedule to meet with me and overjoyed he was willing to accept a copy of the book.  I only plan on being in Mississippi until the first of next month, so being able to meet the senator during my visit made it special for me."  The senator asked W.R. Benton to contact him later for a book endorsement.

Since his arrival in Mississippi, Benton has been overwhelmed by the kind and friendly folks in the state, and is considering relocating.  As W.R. Benton stated, “I lived all over the world while serving in the military for over twenty-six years, but never have I met the caliber of folks that I have in the hospitality state.  It is obvious the motto is well deserved.”
