ATLANTA – May 24, 2007 – Infor today announced that DAIDO METAL CZECH (DMC), an automotive manufacturer, has gone live with Infor ERP LN. The implementation was delivered by GEMMA Systems, an Infor partner in the Czech Republic. Based on contract with DMC and HITACHI, a Japanese system integrator, the system will support manufacturing and planning processes in DMC, from logistics and finance management to business-specific processes and close collaboration with suppliers.
Japan-based DAIDO METAL is a leading global producer of automotive parts, specializing in slide bearings. In 2004, the company began to expand its activities in Europe, which resulted in building a new manufacturing facility in Brno, the Czech Republic, in 2006.
At the same time, DAIDO METAL commenced selection of a new information system for the whole group. The Czech Republic facility was chosen as the pilot project for implementation of Infor ERP LN. Modules selected included procurement, warehouse management, sales and financial management functionality and processes.
Infor ERP LN was selected due to its capabilities for global deployment (multi-language support, global availability of Infor offices and partners in all countries where DAIDO METAL Group is active), support of manufacturing operations, and ability to cover specific requirements of manufacturers (batch management, EDI, bar code system etc). The implementation of the Infor solution is helping to streamline and control processes within DMC, and introduce effective communication between its business partners and DAIDO METAL's European headquarters.
Since January 2007, the new solution has been running in production, with functionality for asset management and outbound reporting currently being added. The recently initiated second phase of the project will include implementation of enterprise resource manufacturing and planning support.

GEMMA Systems has developed detailed implementation documents for HITACHI that are designed to streamline the rollout in other DAIDO METAL Group facilities.
