At precisely 1900 hrs (GMT), WCPE will silence their broadcast momentarily in remembrance, reflection and honor of the fallen service men and women. The broadcast will resume with the playing of Taps.
Music director for WCPE, William Woltz says, “We will be broadcasting music that reflects the American spirit throughout the weekend. We will feature works with American themes as well as American composers and artists.” In addition to the top of the hour Memorial Day playlist below, American composers, artists and themes will be interspersed all weekend, including works by Marine veteran John Phillip Sousa and Air Force veteran John Williams.
