British Flocking to Spain to Stop Smoking

British run clinic which incorporates CBT, NLP and hypnotherapy in its unique approach to help individuals to kick their smoking habit is working around the clock

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)May 16, 2007 – Brits flocking to stop smoking clinic in Spain, ahead of the July 1st ban.

A fresh approach to kicking the smoking habit which incorporates CBT [Cognitive Behaviour Therapy] is prompting UK smokers to fly to Spain for treatment. On EasyJet’s Luton - Malaga flight last Friday were six ‘desperate to quit smokers’. They were following in the footsteps of nine others that had flown back to Gatwick as ex-smokers the previous evening.

The six had arrived in Spain for a long weekend, which included two ‘Stop Smoking’ sessions at a dedicated Stop Smoking clinic in Fuengirola (10 kilometers from Marbella on the Costa del Sol). At the English run clinic they offer their own triple therapy approach for those wishing to kick the smoking habit.  The treatment, which involves no drugs, uses an unusual combination of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) CBT (cognitive behavior therapy) and mild hypnotherapy, and
is proving not only highly successful but also very popular.

Traveling to Spain to kick the habit is proving to be an acceptable alternative, and the costs, including airfares, compares favorably. It has been medically proven time and again that getting away from all the normal pressures and routines associated with home and the working environment, and taking a few days break in the sun, is guaranteed to place anyone in the ideal mental and physical state of mind for making any major changes in life, incluing becoming a non-smoker.

The ultra-modern, air-conditioned premises have been purposely designed to make clients feel comfortable and totally relaxed during their visit. The treatment is split into two sessions: the first lasting approximately 2 hours, and the second, approximately one hour.

Many more Brits are planning to make the pilgrimage to Marbella over the coming months, hoping to return home non-smokers. For these so called health tourists, the success rate is more than comparable to many of the alternative methods and anyway, what better way can there be to approach this life-changing experience of becoming a happy, healthy non-smoker than to take a break on the Mediterranean coast and undertake the treatment in a relaxed, holiday environment.

The therapists at the Elite Clinic in Fuengirola are members of the British Institute and American Board of Hypnotherapy; training in R.E.B.T. (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) was undertaken at the School of Psychology at Birmingham University. The Elite clinic is a member of the UK Society of Behavioural Medicine the clinic can be contacted on (0034) 951 311 591, additional information is available on their web site www.eliteclinics.co
