Customer Attacked At Avis Rent A Car

I was attacked at Avis Rent A Car by a violent guard, that Avis knew had problems.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)May 14, 2007 – Avis Rent A Car Stinks-Allows Violent Temp to Work For Avis Injuring A Customer

Avis Rent A Car Has a Dangerous Violent Practice. If you would like to call and complain call 1-973-496-7865:  AvisBudgetGroup knew that a guard who works at the checkpoint to release cars had several complaints from customers. She violently attacked me on 3-17-07 as I attempted to request a note stating their were dings on the car I was renting, she initially told me, this was done already with the previous customer. I commented I have no copy to prove I didn't cause the damage/dings, the dings could have happened after the car was parked in the lot.  Anyone renting a car knows you get the scratches and dings documented before you leave with the car or you can be charged.

So, she did not fill out the form the guards normally complete regarding the dings.  The guard  wrote it on my contract as I sat in the car. When I passed the contract back to the guard and asked her to sign her name and date it, I held my hand out for the contract the second time, after she signed it I heard her make a loud grimace like a wrestler about to body slam someone, and the guard pretended to be giving me the contract but, quickly grabbed my fingers and tried to crush my fingers and break my arm as she quickly snapped my arm and hand in the opposite direction. I guess this was to show me she didn't appreciate having to fullfil my request.

I drove off after telling her I am a customer and have a right to ask questions. Had I got out of the car and went to report her would she shoot me in the back or run me over with the rental car, who knows? Was she banned from contact with Avis customers? No. Were customers made aware that they could come in contact with a violent guard that was working for Avis.

I certainlly wasn't and I don't know anyone who was notified. As of 4-20-07, this violent guard is still working and is allowed to come in contact with AvisBudgetGroup customers. Why? When I notified Avis Management at the airport the manager/supervisor stated this guard had several previous complaints, but the customers call and complain they don't write. I wrote the letter, and faxed it to Avis Rent A Car, I also came in and filled out a incident report, I called Avis Corporate Headquarters Customer Service, (whatever their definition of customer service is I do not know) and created a report. I called back days later and asked for the names and phone numbers of branch managers for Avis, I was given numbers that were disconnected.

The question is what does this guard have to do? Shoot 60 people before she is banned from dealing with the public?  I filed a police report after speaking with a sherriff several weeks later who said this was battery.  Because their was no shooting or guns involved, a police report was not the first thing that popped into my mind, calling the manager was.

AvisBudgetGroup has a Zero Violence Tolerance Policy Online is it even worth the paper it is written on? I am making the public aware of the hidden dangers they could face dealing with AvisBudgetGroup, how they take the public's safety for granted. Far too often issues like this are ignored until a aggressive employee or student does the unthinkable.

Do we ever have to wonder how troubled employees, stay on jobs, until they hurt or kill several people with companies like Avis Rent A Car?  I had never encountered an incident like this anywhere in my life and had been renting from Avis for a long time, when this occurred.  What will it take for Avis to stop putting the public at risk?  On approxmimately 3-17-07 it was me, maybe next time it will be your daughter or mom or loved one.

If  you know of any other complaints against AvisBudgetGroup where people have been injured, please contact me dating the incident time and place, and give the sex of the offender at avisstinks@yahoo.com
