Kuala Lumpur Malaysia:- While the Catenate sponsored A1 Team Malaysia car didn’t have the best of days in the final leg of the A1 World Cup of Motorsport held at Brands Hatch, Catenate Sdn Bhd scored a double ‘victory’ at the track, with the signing of an MOU with world renowned performance car parts manufacturer Janspeed, as well as the formal signing of an exclusive supply contract to UK auto parts distributor N C Lancaster.
The Janspeed MOU details a long term strategy for the supply of high performance components from Catenate’s progressive metal stamping facilities in Shah Alam Malaysia to the UK and used in the manufacturing of Janspeeds world renowned performance car exhausts systems.

The signing of the MOU is the conclusion of a 2 year ‘search’ by Janspeed Managing Director Mark Vaughan, to find the ‘best fit’ partner company in Asia that can provide the level of high quality components that Janspeed require, as well as a platform to support the Janspeed brand in its expansion in Asia.
Mark Vaughan explained “The Janspeed brand is synonymous with high quality performance and high quality ‘finish’ throughout all of our product range, and finding the correct partner that can maintain these very high standards for our existing markets, but also carry this through into new and emerging markets in Asia is fundamental, and I strongly believe that Catenate can achieve this, I only wish I had considered looking at Malaysia first and perhaps I may have met Catenate earlier”
Also during the Brands Hatch weekend, Catenate Sdn Bhd and N C Lancaster Ltd formally signed the exclusive supply contract which had been agreed earlier in 2007.
Effective from Jan 3rd 2007, the contract is for the supply of flexible exhaust couplings to N C Lancaster automotive aftermarket supplies division and potentially replaces all of N C Lancaster’s requirements for this product group, for the first time appointing a preferred supplier for all exhaust system variants.
