ORLANDO, FL – May 9, 2007 – AvMyPodcast.com, a Florida-based
podcast hosting service, announced today successful completion of final testing on a new service designed to promote podasting in schools.
"We're very pleased with the progress of this new project," stated Erich Slipsager, CEO of http://www.AvMyPodcast.com. "We've created a national self maintaining podcast engine for students and teachers to participate in. There's a lot of interest in schools right now for podcasting, but unfortunately a lot of teachers are finding it hard to get off the ground."
"Running a podcast can be very time consuming. That's the biggest stumbling block for most teachers. First, they have to learn how a podcast is created. Then they have to worry about maintaining it. It's a lot of work for a busy teacher."
"Our service presents them with an effective alternative. As a podcast host we're ideally situated to get this working. We provide them an established infrastructure to participate in, already filled with student podcasts from around the country. Participation couldn't be easier. All they do is add to the existing podcast via their web browser, and they're done. We house the media and we maintain the service. Their podcast will be immediately available through iTunes and all other major podcast distribution channels. Lastly, it's free. The service should be available nationally by end of May, 2007", said Mr. Slipsager.
AvMyPodcast.com is celebrating completion of it's first year in business. This announcement is the second major initiative for AvMyPodcast.com this year, following it's announcement of support for Apple TV media earlier this month.
