The conference, which takes place September 6, 7 and 8, 2007, at the Courtyard Marriott located at 30 East Hubbard in downtown Chicago, IL, is designed to encourage networking between editorial people, business and education leaders, mental health professionals and members of the general public interested in "discussing the issues that make us human."
This is particularly important in light of the recent Virginia Tech tragedy.
A few of the confirmed speakers include: “The Love Doctor” Dr. Terri Orbuch, author and advertising guru Steffan Postaer and Australian therapist Dr. Charmaine Saunders to name a few.
“We think this conference will be a great way to allow attendees to see us up close as well as network with professionals from both in and out of the psychology community,” Editor-in-Chief Jim Idema said.
Fees for the conference are $300 if registered before May 31, $400 between May 31 and July 1, $500 after July 1 and $600 at the door. Advanced registration or advanced hotel reservations will not be taken after August 23, 2007.
