BONECRUNCH FIGHTING Now Accepting Applications for Ownership of Professional Fight Teams Nationwide
SARASOTA, FL – BONECRUNCH FIGHTING, a mixed martial arts fighting league, has announced today that it is accepting applications for ownership of professional fight teams. Team owners will join an exclusive group of leaders nationwide who own and operate a professional fighting team.
In BONECRUNCH FIGHTING, teams of fighters compete against each other in mixed martial arts action, accumulating point throughout a season in order to advance to the playoffs. Other events include tryouts, all-star, and exhibitions. Fighters are rewarded based on wins, knockouts, and excitement of their fights.
The format is professional mixed martial arts fighting (MMA). MMA is the nation’s fastest growing sport, with pay per view revenues surpassing those for boxing and professional wrestling in 2006.
BONECRUNCH FIGHTING provides training, advice and guidance about setting up and marketing a team and events, and administers the league schedule and rules. Team owners are responsible for the successful operation of their teams.
General Manager Andrew Neitlich said, “We are delighted to be offering the rights to BONECRUNCH FIGHTING teams to qualified people nationwide, especially with the growth that mixed martial arts is experiencing. People who have always dreamed of owning a professional sports team now have the opportunity, especially if they are a fan of martial arts.”
He continued, “Unlike other leagues or fighting organizations, we have a franchise system in place that allows for local ownership, just like in the National Football League or Major League Baseball. That way, fans can support ‘real’ teams and local fighters, as opposed to teams that are created artificially by a single fighting organization. Also, teams receive a share of any national television or licensing revenues that the league negotiates -- above and beyond the revenues they generate from local sponsorships and ticket sales. Finally, with an exclusive group of team owners and league personnel, we can work together to create something truly special in the sports world.”
Team owners need a liquid net worth of at least $500,000 to secure the rights to a territory, along with the management skills to operate and promote local events profitably. To spur immediate interest, the franchise fee for the first four teams to join the league has been discounted and starts at just $50,000.
