PremiereTrade® LLC President/CEO James Dicks Joins CEOs and Political Experts to visit the 3rd U.S. Army and U.S. Army Central Command in Kuwait with the DOD’s Joint Civilian Orientation Conference

ALTMONTE SPRINGS, FL – April 30, 2007 – James Dicks, President/CEO of PremiereTrade® LLC departed on an orientation tour of military facilities in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East through the Department of Defense program called the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC).

Lt. Gen. Steven Whitcomb, the commander of the 3rd U.S. Army and U.S. Army Central Command, briefed 45 business and civic leaders who participated in the JCOC as they sat just 15 miles away from the Iraqi border. The group visited the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility to learn more about the capabilities of the U.S. military and the role American forces are playing overseas.

“While we can’t take you over to Iraq or Afghanistan, it doesn’t look different over here,” Whitcomb told the group. “This is a tough and unforgiving environment in which to operate.”

Gen. Whitcomb said that 80 percent of his troops’ efforts are spent supporting the rotation of combat forces in the region. His soldiers also serve as a forward-based service component command to plan and, on order, conduct land operations across the Central Command area of responsibility.

After the presentation, Dicks said, “I am totally impressed with the operation here in Kuwait.  The military leadership is fully aware of their responsibilities and communicates the necessary tasks effectively to their troops.  Believe me; they are definitely getting the job done.  All Americans should be proud of what the military is accomplishing.”

The JCOC is a Secretary of Defense sponsored program for America's leaders interested in expanding their knowledge of the military and national defense. JCOC is the oldest existing Pentagon outreach program and has been held more than 72 times since its inception in 1948.
