PremiereTrade® LLC President/CEO James Dicks Joins CEOs and Political Experts Witness Naval Power in the Persian Gulf Region on the DOD’s Joint Civilian Orientation Conference

ALTMONTE SPRINGS, FL – April 27, 2007 – James Dicks, President/CEO of PremiereTrade® LLC departed this week on an orientation tour of military facilities in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East through the Department of Defense program called the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC).
The JCOC group was allowed to tour the nuclear-powered Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower to experience first-hand the U.S. Naval presence in the volatile region.   “Ike” is part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, which has been providing support to American and coalition ground forces in Iraq and Afghanistan since the end of October.

Navy Captain Dam Cloyd of the Eisenhower told the civic and business leaders from the JCOC that he believe his crew completely understands its mission and has been more than fulfilled the mission more than on any previous deployment.  He continued, “They know that what they do makes a difference and saves lives every day.”

Dicks, who visited the U.S. Navy Carrier USS John F. Kennedy a few years ago, said that this visit was completely different.  “There is a wide margin of difference when you see a ship and crew who are actually in a real life military campaign.  These special people are putting themselves on the line each and every day.  I want everyone back home to know they are very committed to their mission and I can tell you they are doing a fantastic job for us.”

The JCOC is a Secretary of Defense sponsored program for America's leaders interested in expanding their knowledge of the military and national defense. JCOC is the oldest existing Pentagon outreach program and has been held more than 72 times since its inception in 1948.
