PremiereTrade® LLC President/CEO James Dicks Selected by the Department of Defense to be a participant in the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC)

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – April 5, 2007 – James Dicks, CEO & President of PremiereTrade® LLC, has been selected by the Department of Defense to be one of the participants in the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC).  The JCOC is a Secretary of Defense sponsored program for America's business leaders interested in expanding their knowledge of the military and national defense. JCOC is the oldest existing Pentagon outreach program and has been held more than 72 times since its inception in 1948.
JCOC participants attend briefings by senior military and civilian officials followed by hands-on experience observing exercises, participating in training and interacting with troops stationed in active military theaters around the world.  Dicks was nominated by the United States Coast Guard to be a part of the spring 2007 session (JCOC 73).  

Dicks, who is a former U.S. Marine, is dedicated to the country’s military forces and their families and is constantly demonstrating his support for these special people.  “It is my honor to be selected by the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a member of this JCOC session.  I look forward to meeting the men and women of our military who are gallantly serving this nation in some very hostile areas.”

The alumni of the JCOC, normally high ranking civilian business and political leaders, continue to play an active role with America Supports You and other Department of Defense opportunities in a number of different ways. Through their companies and on a personal level, the JCOC alumni have partnered with grassroots groups, donated money, organized special events and volunteered their time. Through this involvement, they have energized their employees and communities to get involved.

He is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps League and has spent many interesting moments with the military ranging from the Navy’s precision flying team, The Blue Angels and the crew of the now retired aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy.  Last year, Dicks addressed the annual Marine Corps Sergeant Major Symposium in Washington DC as a guest of the Sergeant Major of the U.S. Marine Corp, John Estrada.  Dicks also features a monthly article about various military topics in his monthly national financial magazine, The James Dicks Magazine.
