ROBERT HAMMOND’S GRACE PERIOD WINS TWO FINALIST PRIZES AT
THE NATIONAL 2007 INDIE EXCELLENCE BOOK AWARDS

LOS ANGELES – PubInsider.com, the premiere online magazine and publishing industry consulting firm, announced the winners and finalists of its “NATIONAL 2007 INDIE EXCELLENCE 2007 BOOK AWARDS” on May 1, 2007. 250 winners and finalists were announced in over 60 categories covering print, audio, and e-books.

Grace Period: The Awakening of Abel Adams (paperback, 978-1-60266-353-4), by Robert Hammond was awarded finalist in two categories - both Religious Fiction and African American. Grace Period, a contemporary prodigal son tale set in a world of drugs, crime, and the occult, is Hammond’s debut novel. He is better known as a spokesperson for Capital One Financial and author of several bestselling nonfiction books on consumer topics, including Identity Theft and Life After Debt. “The time has come for me to dedicate myself to more creative endeavors, focusing on stories that inspire and change lives,” he says.
