Texas First Lady Anita Perry spoke April 24, 2007, at the Brilliantly You luncheon in Austin hosted by Women that Soar, a Dallas based media company that expands opportunities for women entrepreneurs and executives.
The luncheon, held in honor of the First Lady, promoted this year's Brilliantly You Gala, benefiting Dallas Dress for Success, an organization that helps economically disadvantaged women succeed in the work force by providing professional attire, support and career development tools. The Brilliantly You Gala will be the first social event at the Dallas Ritz-Carlton hotel, September 14, 2007.
Guests who attended the Austin luncheon were dazzled by the décor and floral arrangements of event planner, Marion Marshall, with Absolute Blooming. Guest enjoyed a lavish luncheon and heard the first lady speak about the importance of supporting women's enterprise and causes related to women.
This is the first annual event and it is off to a great start, receiving recognition from key Texas sponsors and leading businesswomen. Organizers are truly excited about the stellar affair. Pre events will be hosted throughout the state of Texas. "We are putting a lot of hard work and planning to make this one of Dallas' signature events," said Gina Grant, founder of Women That Soar. "We want women to be inspired, empowered and learn to celebrate the brilliance within them," said Suzanne Bock, Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank and Brilliantly You Chairwoman.
