April 26, 2007 - PRLog -- Meeting Mr or Ms Right can be difficult, expensive and complicated leading a couple of enterprising females from Down Under to come up with a simple fun alternative, when it comes to dating.

Imagine going to a singles bar or event, anywhere in the world, and being able to introduce yourself to every person you’d like to meet instantly, without saying a word or exchanging any personal contact details. Now, thanks to a FunKy new dating concept it’s not only possible but a reality being embraced by singles all over the world.

In order to meet people and get dates it’s no longer necessary to go to special places, study dating techniques, learn pickup-lines or spend time and money making virtual love in cyberspace.  All you have to know is how to hand a business card to someone – there’s no need to say or do anything else – it’s just that simple.

Using the everyday business card as the basis of their concept, the creators simply replaced all personal and contact details normally found on business cards with a single id number, then linked the cards to the internet.  So once you hand someone your FunKard they logon to the FunKards website, access your photo/profile and send you a message, to which you can reply, just like internet dating; only better because you already know what the person looks like - so no nasty surprises.

How many times have you seen someone you’d like to meet but didn’t do anything about it?  Cute little blond chatting with a group of friends or tall dark and handsome leaning on the bar would probably love to meet you – but of course do nothing about it and you’ll never know!

Okay, so there are few things in life more awkward or embarrassing than approaching a stranger in public in order to meet.  First there’s the dreaded “long walk” over to where they are sitting; usually with a group of friends.  Once there you have to interrupt using your best pick-up-line, let them know you’re interested and try to exchange personal contact details often in a dark and noisy place. If the person is single and available, you’re in luck, if not there’s always the “long walk” back to where you were sitting; hoping your embarrassment isn’t as obvious to everyone else as it is to you.  This “long walk” is tough for the bravest of men; little wonder it’s seldom attempted by women.

How would you respond if a stranger handed you a FunKard?  Would you be flattered, annoyed, amused, disinterested or pleased?  If you could find out a little about the person by logging onto the internet and looking up their photo/profile, would you – of course you would and that’s why the creators claim that if you hand out enough FunKards you will get lucky!  FunKards make dating a breeze - don’t leave home without them!
