With just a few days to go before its launch, Sean Wright’s album-a-month project is creating a big buzz with fans of new music and industry professionals. His album-a-month project has attracted top producers Andrew Hayman (Lee Ryan and Joe O.Meara ex S-Club 7), Roman Klun, and Alex Nevermind.

The hugely ambitious project is taking on a life of its own, as word of mouth spreads. With profile hits and plays of his music increasing tenfold on myspace.

“In the past month, music fans have flocked to myspace to check out what this project is all about. The support I’m getting is tremendous,” Wright said. “Music producers such as Adam Hayward, Roman Klun, and Alex Nevermind have dropped by, too, which is gratifying and very much appreciated. My songs have been played over 14,000 times in the past four weeks on my three myspace pages. Radio producers and music journalists have shown a keen interest. At the moment,  I'm in the midst of a very exciting interview with a top LA editor, who plans to launch the project in a big way in the States at the end of May.”

New York-based, Roman Klun said Sean Wright’s project, “all sounds and feels good.’

Klun is the award-winning record producer, music engineer and singer/songwriter who worked on Sarah McLachlan's Grammy nominated and Juno Award winning record "Afterglow."

Producer, Alexander Nevermind's support of Wright's album-a-month project has been unflinching and vocal, praising Wright's music publically on myspace. It is no secret that Nevermind works behind the scenes as one member of a collective of musicians, composers, and producers known as moodswings.com in the US, a collective whose influence on the world of popular music is far-reaching and immense. Nevermind is also known as dance music producer and songwriter, LaTour, as well as other pen names.

UK's Wright began planning the project by embarking on a decidedly outside-the-box strategy—rather than pursue the typical method of writing, recording and marketing an album, he decided to spend the past 3 years recording over 120 songs. Now he's releasing the fruits of his labours each month in the form of CD albums and downloads. The year-long series is available by mail order from the independent crows-wing.com website, as well as CD Baby, iTunes, Rhapsody, BuyMusic, Emusic, Napster, AOL's MusicNet, MusicMatch, and so on.

Each Sean Wright album contains 12 tracks - that's 12x12. 144 tracks in a year. The first album called TIDALWAVE is released 30 April 2007, and subsequent releases will come thick and fast at the end of each month.

“It sounds mad, doesn’t it?” Wright said. “While putting out an album every month is an awful idea if you try to release and promote records the old-fashioned way -- coordinating and organising retail distribution, publicity, and radio promotion behind something that lands everywhere all at once – it certainly gives people something to talk about. I haven't had to spend time or effort promoting the songs. I've spent all my time writing and recording, and the way I’ve structured the releases alone has made people notice. An album-a-month has a nice ring to it, doesn‘t it? That and the fact that I give away an mp3 every month on myspace.”

Wright is a singer/songwriter who first made his name at Peer-Southern Music publishing house, Denmark St, London, co-writing songs with Hollywood hitmaker, Kim Fowley. He released his debut 45 single "Strange Situation" in 1978 to critical acclaim in the UK press. The NME said, "Wright is an enigmatic purveyor of powerful pop." Wright's 1980s band, International Heroes, is credited in the Encyclopaedia of British Heavy Metal as forerunner of the Powerpop movement. He co-managed the hugely-popular all-girl Swedish band, Ice Age, voted Best Female Group in the World 1989/1990 by Kerrang! magazine readers. He co-produced and directed their MTV video "Instant Justice" and co-ordinated their sell-out European tour, in which the band sold out London's Marquee Club, The Hippodrome, and the Astoria.

He's a three time British Fantasy Award finalist for excellence in fantasy/horror/sci-fi writing. His song lyrics explore the ups and downs of life, heartache and joy, and his own unique take on human relationships, and his songs have been compared with John Lennon, Bob Dylan and Jeff Buckley. ###
