What Makes a Christian a Christian?

LONGWOOD, FL—With so many conflicting offshoots and sects within Christianity, it’s no wonder people are confused on what identifies a person as a Christian. Emlen S. Garrett has authored The Mark of a Christian (paperback, 978-1-60266-119-6; hardcover, 978-1-60266-120-2) to help navigate through the endless maze of contrasting viewpoints. The Mark of a Christian holds to a literal and complete interpretation of the Holy Bible. If a church tradition, denomination, author, preacher, evangelist, or creed is not supported by the Bible, it’s not worth contemplating, says the author. In addition, Garrett believes God’s full intent and purpose for mankind is wrapped up in the 66 books of the Bible and that we need no other input to live content, full lives in Christ.
