Sayegh Group choose to support this particular athlete, for her dedication and the achievements she’s reached so far. Driven by its belief in her ability to achieve distinction in this martial art sport, the industrial group is committing itself to covering the expenses of her participation in representing Jordan in the upcoming World Teakwoondo tournament for youth, which to be held in Korea this June, 2007.
Commenting on the group’s decision to adopt Nadine Handoma, Mr. Michael Sayegh the Chairman of the Board of Sayegh Group said, ”We are very proud to be adopting this particular young athlete, for we at Sayegh group have the highest levels of admiration and pride in her achievements.
We hope that by providing Nadine with the moral and financial support she needs that we would be playing our part in making Jordanian athletes flourish within the international sports arena. We hope to continue playing an active role in advocating Jordanian sports and in ensuring that young Jordanians with talent get noticed within the international sports scene.
We realize that our young athletes need as much support as they can get from both Jordan’s private and public sector, for it is their achievements that push our Kingdom forward, and it is their achievements that are our source of pride as Jordanians”.
It is important to note that this is not first initiative of its type to be launched by Sayegh Group, since its launch in 1969. Sayegh Group has been a key player in Jordan’s development scene. Earlier this year the organization launched its Re-Painting Eastern Amman Campaign. Through this campaign Sayegh Group worked along side the Greater Amman Municipality to re-paint and renovate homes in Amman’s older and poorer districts, and just last month Sayegh Group took part in the nation wide “Vote for Petra“initiative whereby it worked to promote Petra to a global audience and to ensure that it is recognized as one of the new seven wonders of the world.
