The Virginia Tech campus murderer Cho Seung-Hui certainly exhibited behavior prior to his killing rampage that would cause one to think he had a deranged personality. He undoubtedly had isolated himself and removed himself from meaningful social contact. This led to an increased inner deterioration and ultimate personal destruction for Cho.
Cho certainly was spiritually deluded thinking himself to be "like Jesus Christ" and a modern-day John the Baptist confronting debauchery. Neither Jesus, nor John would have confronted what Cho deemed to be evil with killing. The Savior of the world and His fiery prophet preached repentance, but never coerced or killed anyone.
There is no evidence suggesting any schizophrenia or paranoia on the part of the deranged killer. Had Cho been paranoid, he would not have gone to the post office an hour-and-a-half after his first killing to mail a package. Cho wasn't inhibited in the least. He thereafter returned to kill even more on the same campus.
Though no evidence as to schizophrenia showed itself concerning Cho, Davis believes Cho heard voices. On one of his videos sent to the media, Cho mentions he acted like Jesus Christ. Immediately thereafter Cho goes on to say "my children, my brothers and sisters" of which there is no factual basis. It was as if from a spiritual perspective Cho was for a moment trying to speak prophetically for God. Davis immediately sensed and felt this utterance in particular to be demonic, as the dull and glazed eyed Cho spoke into the video camera.
Davis has no doubt whatsoever that Cho was both psychotic and demonic. His mental and social problems surely preceded the demonic influences that propelled him to mass murder. Cho's wounded and fragmented soul made this isolated young man an easy target for demon spirits to attack.
Cho desperately needed someone to compassionately confront him and walk with him out of isolation. "Though Cho believed in Christ, his heart was not right in the sight of God. Instead of dealing with his own unfinished business and issues, Cho in his pride was silently accusatory and murderous. Disassociating from and projecting his pain on to others, Cho was never made whole himself." - Paul F. Davis
"Cho's unresolved anger, inner hurts, and wounds left him suseptible to demonic attack. Isolated and dwelling in darkness within, demons feasted upon him like buzzards on a decaying carcass. His fragile and shattered identity unattended to combined with demonic activity led Cho to a deadly destiny. Our society desperately needs a powerful spirituality capable of restoring people's identity and driving out the devils lodged internally."
"We cannot pretend demons don't exist. Demoniacs and troubled youth like Cho Seung-Hui are labeled weird, but they must be liberated by God's love and power. Mary Magdalene was packing seven devils before Jesus unloaded her baggage (Luke 8:1-3). Jesus commanded His disciples to cast out devils (Mark 3:13-15), not create denominations!"
Sadly Cho never got the mental and spiritual help he so desperately needed to renew his mind and remove the demons that worked on and through him.
Paul Davis is a worldwide minister that deals with demon spirits and sets the captives free. He has successfully liberated oppressed and demon possessed people on every continent through the miracle working power of God. He is the author of Supernatural Fire and Waves of God.
