Apr 19, 2007 – Each quilter will make a 12 1/2/" block of their choice. Blocks can be paper-pieced, appliqued, etc. Choice of colors and fabric should be limited to pinks for girls, blue for boys, and primary colors of blue, red, green and yellow. Quilters are invited to make as many blocks as they like. The more blocks, the more quilts auctioned off on eBay to benefit 4rkidssake.org.
Mail completed blocks to Forget Me Not USA, 921 Golf Club Drive, Burneyville, OK 73430 by the extended deadline of May 31, 2007. Quilts will be auctioned off on eBay during Summer/Fall of 2007. This year, 2 children have died from hyperthermia after being left unattended or were unable to get out of a hot car. In the summer of 2006, 29 children died in hot cars, in 2005, 42 children perished in hot cars. From 1998- 2006, a total of 323 children have lost their lives from hyperthermia. Forget Me Not USA is on a mission to provide a visual reminder about the safe transportation of children. By encouraging parents, grandparents, daycare providers, school bus drivers, etc. to display Forget Me Not Vehicle Safety Stickers on their vehicle, we are visually reminding them to "NEVER LEAVE A CHILD ALONE IN A VEHICLE, FOR ANY REASON". Forget Me Not Vehicle Safety Stickers displayed on transportation vehicles, as well as on all entry and exit doors of businesses, such as convenience stores, cleaners and banks, will help raise public awareness. Please join the Forget Me Not USA Campaign to prevent this tragedy from happening to our children and their families.
