From Thursday 19th April onwards Poker Verdict will be offering live updates from the latest leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) in Manchester. This innovation will give poker followers up-to-the-minute results from one of the biggest events on the UK poker calendar.
The GUKPT boasts a combined prize pool of more than £4 million, which has captured the imagination of poker fans during its inaugural year. Poker Verdict’s brilliant updates mean poker followers will be able to find out who’s been knocked out and who’s heading the leaderboard as the tournament progresses.
The GUKPT tour started in Bolton in January and since then has moved to Walsall in February and Cardiff in March. The Cardiff tournament was won by former Eastenders actor Michael Greco who took down a first prize of £100,000. The Manchester tournament (19-22 April) is the fourth in the series before the tour moves to Brighton next month.
Launched in October 2006, Poker Verdict is a UK-based poker community site aimed specifically at European poker players and fans. Poker Verdict offers a huge number of player profiles, tournament reports, advice for up-and-coming players and exclusive invitational tournaments for regulars.
Poker Verdict's David Gross and Warren Wooldridge will be among the field in Manchester as will professional player Neil Channing, who Poker Verdict sponsors.
