This list is compiled from a cooperative internet data exchange (IDX) program of the multiple listing service (MLS/MRIS) in which The Earl of Real Estate Team participates.
The initial list of the 77 Most Affordable Single Family Homes includes properties located throughout Northern Virginia including Sterling, Reston, Leesburg, Centreville, Purcellville, Herndon, Springfield, Great Falls, South Riding, Lovettsville, Burke, Ashburn, Falls Church, Round Hill, Chantilly & Fairfax.
The list creator, Robert Earl commented on the results of the list. “One of the challenges facing the Northern Virginia Real Estate Marketplace is the availability of Affordable Housing. While this list shows properties in many areas, the prices range from $320,000 up to #77 on the list, priced at $524,900. This presents a significant hurdle to the average single family home buyer in Northern Virginia, forcing them to consider Condos or Townhomes” said Earl.
The list of the 77 Most Affordable Condos for sale in Northern Virginia encompasses a smaller list of areas including Alexandria, Leesburg, Sterling, Falls Church, Arlington, Annandale & Fairfax. “I was surprised to see only one 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo on the list.” Commented Earl. “The cutoff point for the list is under $200,000, yet this mainly features 1 bedroom properties.”
