" Just Like Mom Used to Make "

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 16, 2007 – New York, NY-- April 13, 2007— COLORS restaurant announces an open call for recipes from Moms everywhere for their “Just Like Mom’s” Mother’s Day contest.

As a salute to mothers, and the joy and comfort they bring to their families through their food and recipes, COLORS is launching a search for the best recipes from Moms to incorporate into their Mother’s Day menu on May 13, 2007.

To enter the contest, interested parties must submit a favorite recipe made by their Mom.  The winning recipe will be featured on the COLORS menu for Mother’s Day and the entire family eats for free. As a gift to all families that share the recipes of their Mom, they can dine with Mom at COLORS on Mother’s Day and Mom eats for free.

”We are a very closely knit family here and our menu is derived from family recipes from different cultures so the idea of gathering a new recipe from out extended family, our patrons is very exciting. A few of our regulars have stated that their recipe will win, so the competition is stiff. I just hope that our final rendition of the winning recipe meets the winner’s approval,” states Executive Chef Jean-Emy Pierre.  

COLORS is seeking family recipes of all kinds, from appetizers to main courses to desserts. “We’re known for our global eclectic cuisine, so recipe entries that feature flavors and spices from around the world are welcomed,” states Nancy Hedeen, General Manager of COLORS.

Recipe submissions are being accepted via the COLORS website from now until May 6, 2007. The winner will be contacted on May 10, 2007. The winner’s names and runners up will be listed on the website for Mother’s Day weekend. One recipe per person will be accepted. Reservations for Mother’s day are currently being accepted.
