About the Author: Lee Taylor lives in Bedworth in Warwickshire, England. He grew up watching the old style late 70’s early 80’s zombie horror films, and has always wondered ‘what happens to you when you die.’ Imagine the idea of a world where the dead return to feed off the living? Lee has always been fascinated with the idea of this happening. It would never happen in real life but what if it did? It would be one of the scariest things to happen, just imagine opening your curtains in the morning and outside the streets were covered with grotesque ex-humans’ searching for a way in to your house to feed off you. It’s a nightmare whether you are asleep or awake. What makes it even more terrifying is the thought that someone you knew, neighbour, family member or a close friend could be one of those things.
Over the past few years there have been a number of successful zombie-style movie releases including the remake of ‘Dawn of the Dead’, ‘Resident Evil 1 & 2’, ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and the George Romero offering ‘Land of the Dead’. Lee only wishes he had finished his completed novel a few years ago before the trend took off again!
Excerpt from the book:
“The zombie knelt down, so that the knees were almost touching its victim’s head, Charmaine tried to wriggle her body to escape, but the razor sharp weapon was raised and suddenly, without any warning, it came crashing down and deposited right into victim number two’s head, it was pushed and pushed, until all of it was embedded into her skull. The wriggling finally stopped after a few more seconds. The grass was now a river of fast flowing blood, which was streaming out of the lifeless body.”
