National, state, and local groups begin Healthy Schools Day events on April 30th with web-inars, workshops, state/national awards showing how to improve child health and learning with healthier facilities.

April 14, 2007 - PRLog -- (Washington, DC) Dozens of national, state, and local groups promote Healthy Schools Day and School Building Week with free conferences, workshops, awards, and events in 16 states showcasing how healthier facilities improve children's achievement.  Coordinated by Healthy Schools Network, and co-sponsored by American Public Health Association, National School Plant Management Association, CEFPI-Foundation & Trust, Environmental Building News, Green Seal, Collaborative for High Performance Schools, leaders of the COALITION FOR HEALTHIER SCHOOLS, and US EPA, events focus on: green cleaning of schools, indoor air quality, nontoxic pest control, mold reduction, and high performance school design.
