Environmental Friendly Farming

Gingerich Farms will be featured in a story on blueberries and eco-friendly farming.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Apr 11, 2007 – (Canby, OR) Gingerich Farms announced today that the company is to be profiled in a story about the use of environmental friendly techniques in farming. By using alternative methods of producing and maintaining their most valuable crop, blueberries, Gingerich Farms continues to profit in both the financial and environmental sphere.

With a growing emphasis on organic products, Gingerich Farms’ new line of blueberries might play an important role in environmental sustainability. “Blueberries and hazelnuts have been a crop that we went into in the early 80s, and it has been a very sustainable crop,” said Verne Gingerich, CEO of Gingerich Farms. In addition, this type of produce has the antioxidants necessary to aid in the reduction of cancer and heart disease risk.

The Gingerich Farms story was produced by The Profiles Series. “We are proud to put together a story promoting family traditions and environmental consciousness,” said Executive Producer Wali Waiters. Hosted by Lou Gossett Jr., the show features stories on various technologies, products or services that have significantly contributed on a national and/or international level.
