Boykin Management Company Names Thomas J. O’Leary GM for the Ellis Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 09, 2007 – Cleveland, Ohio, April 9, 2007—Thomas J. O’Leary has been appointed General Manager of the Ellis Hotel, located in Atlanta, Georgia.  Tom most recently served as the Interim General Manager at the Boykin managed Doubletree Hotel JFK Airport, located in Jamaica, New York. This is Tom’s third Atlanta assignment in the city he calls home.

Tom is a 30-year industry veteran and has held property-level and senior oversight positions with Marriott, Doubletree, Ginn Development Company, Richfield Hospitality Services, and Kahler Realty Corporation.  Tom was also a member of the Boykin Management Company team for over seven years, serving in a number of positions including both corporate-level as well as on-site management.  His experience and professionalism makes him a great asset to the Ellis Hotel.  Tom is a graduate of State University of New York and has attended Fordham University as well as the Marriott Executive Development Harvard Program.  

About the Hotel:
Located at the intersection of Ellis and Peachtree Street, the Ellis Hotel was named after the street that runs along the north side of the building.  The long-awaited $27 million redevelopment of this property has returned the building to its former glory as a luxury boutique hotel, enhanced by state-of-the art technology and design. The new 127-room hotel is slated to open in the fall of 2007.  The hotel will house a ground-floor café, a second floor restaurant and cocktail lounge, meeting space, fitness room, and business center. All guest rooms will feature Four-Star guest amenities and the newest in-room technologies.  From a restaurant on a second floor balcony, diners will overlook Peachtree Street, the main artery that runs through the city of Atlanta.
