Washington, DC-- BZB International Presents Random Acts on the Red Carpet, Film Screening and Gala. A Night African Splendor takes place on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at THEARC, Building Bridges Across the River, Inc, 1901 Mississippi Ave., S.E., Washington, DC 20020 at 6:30pm.
The highlight of the black tie event will be the world premier screening of Random Acts…a documentary of giving. The documentary chronicles the travel and experiences of an American woman’s compelling and emotional journey as she spontaneously expresses her love of sharing with women in rural African communities throughout South Africa, Swaziland and Senegal.
Special performances will include African Heritage Dancers and Drummers, Sojourner Truth (In Persona), Miss. Jane Pittman (In Persona) and others to be announced. There also will be a silent auction featuring works of over 25 Master Artists and Galleries, including Frank Frazier, Karen Buster, Larry Poncho Brown, Shukri's Goldsmith, Sharon Tucker, John Ashford, Ida Clowney, Karl Graham Collection, Bae's Place Boutique, Furaha's Lotus Room and Anacostia Art Gallery & Boutique,
Marvin Sin, Zawadi, Damaili Afrikan Wear, Akousa Designs, and many more.

About Ms. Juanita "Busy Bee" Britton
Ms. Juanita "Busy Bee" Britton has been an entrepreneur since she was ten years old. Currently, she is a partner in several retail stores including Brooks Brothers, PGA Stores and CNBC News, at the Ronald Reagan National and Dulles International airports. Additionally, she is the owner of BZB Public Relations and Marketing Consultants, specializing in community relations, retail marketing, corporation promotions and special event coordination.
Ms. Britton, a Detroit native and long time resident of Washington’s historic Anacostia is a hands-on mentor for area youth and passionate about elevating the interest and image of her neighbors and community. “I love Anacostia; it has so much beauty and a lot of potential. I’ve heard some developers refer to this community as ‘the last holdout,’ but as a resident, I believe that we have to take immediate charge of Anacostia’s economic future while we still can.” says Ms. Britton.
Steadfastly, Ms. Britton has refused to abandon Southeast where she has resided for 13 years. A well known fixture in the nation’s capital, she is the force behind the BZB Gift & Art Show, The Largest African American Department Store on the East Coast, a holiday shopping tradition, has been held annually in Washington, DC at Shiloh Baptist Church’s Family Life Center since 1990.
She is also the owner of The Anacostia Art Gallery & Boutique and Random Acts Foundation.
