The premiere issue will also feature a candid interview with Work at Home Mom extraordinaire, Kelly McCausey. Kelly’s has a dedicated following as the host of her very own Work at Home Moms Talk Radio show http://www.wahmtalkradio.com/ and print magazine – The WC (Work at Home Moms Community). This month, she shares her thoughts and tips for keeping it all together!

Meet the editors…

The brainchild of two lifelong friends, Mom 2 Mom Lounge magazine, came about rather accidentally. When girlfriends Elizabeth Munro and Barbara Ryan first became moms, they realized that the best support group out there for new or even experienced mothers, was other girlfriends, and of course, the internet! The girls often found themselves seeking solace and advice through a multitude of channels, from neighbouring friends and email correspondence to online forums and chat sites.

The more the two girls talked to other women about the joys and challenges of motherhood, the more they realized that it was time to create a community of shoulders to lean on. So they started out with a Blog site: www.mom2momlounge.com/blog/, which is still going strong today. The blog allows readers to share in the adventures and misadventures of two young mothers: One, a mother of two and self-professed fashionista on a temporary hiatus from the world of fashion and advertising / The other, also a mother of two, who left the travel industry to become a "mom"preneur starting up her own online digital photo collage business: www.cherishcollages.com.

Through both the online magazine and the blog site, the girls hope to offer readers a healthy and entertaining escape, while sensitizing others to the realities of motherhood.

"It's not always easy to be out and about with your child, especially during those first few months, says Elizabeth. Society has this unrealistic view that moms on maternity leave and stay at home moms are off on playdates or out enjoying lattés, when to tell you the truth, there are days when we're lucky if we get in a shower or step out the front door to put out the garbage. Adult conversation and good company are often scarce. That's why we saw such a genuine need for Mom2Mom Lounge magazine. It lets moms enjoy some grown-up time, while still addressing information that's relevant to them at this stage in their lives. It's like having a friend available whenever you need them. Even if you're sitting there in your PJ's trying to console a colicky baby, we're there."

“Not only that, adds Barbara, but there is a real lack of concentrated information out there. You always have to comb a multitude of sites to find what you’re really looking for and as a mom, who has time for that? Plus, no one out there seems to be telling it like it is. We want our e-zine to be an honest and truthful resource for mothers to turn to.”

The magazine promises to be the online resource that moms have been waiting for.
