April 2, 2007 - PRLog -- Giunti Labs, Europe's leading vendor of e-learning and mobile learning content management solutions, has established an office in Boston, MA, in the USA. According to Fabrizio Cardinali, Giunti Labs’ CEO: “This move into the North American market further expands our global presence.”

“The North American market is ready to embrace Giunti Labs’ technology,” said Stephan K. Thieringer, Managing Director of Giunti Labs North America. “Public organisations, higher education institutions and privately held companies are starting to implement their strategies of future proof intellectual property and content and we are the world leader at providing the technology to foster that.”

Parallel to expanding its global operations, Giunti Labs is building its consulting services group.

“We are more than a technology provider,” explained Cardinali. “E-learning services and content production form a significant part of our business and we are looking forward to sharing the vision with US and Canadian organisations.”

Giunti Labs will be presenting in three e-learning events in North America in April: the Masie LMS 2007 conference (Las Vegas, April 12-13), MedBiquitous annual conference (Baltimore, April 16-18) and IMS Learning Impact and the Summit on Global Learning Industry Challenges (Vancouver, April 16-19).

“In these events we will be demonstrating the capabilities of our learn eXact e-learning and mobile learning suite,” said Cardinali.

“We are also a finalist in the IMS Learning Impact Awards, together with our client, R-ITI Project, an initiative of the UK’s National Health Service. R-ITI project is using Giunti Labs’ solutions for training radiologists. The project’s results are showing that it is one of the most successful e-learning projects in Europe.”

About Giunti Labs

Giunti is unique in the international publishing industry.

In 1497, Giunti publishers and typographers in Florence, together with others in Venice, began modern book manufacturing. Over the years Giunti has built a ‘historical catalogue’ of huge dimensions, through a gradual process of ‘fusion’ of different publishers, but also through the creation of new brands, including Giunti Labs. Giunti Editore now includes 20 companies in the publishing sector.

Giunti Labs, which has its EMEA headquarters in Italy and offices in Milton Keynes (UK) and in Boston (US), provides a wide range of services, in response to any content, learning and knowledge management need, covering:
•   Content production
•   Research and development
•   Technological solutions for content, learning & knowledge management
•   Architectural and technological solutions for mobile & wireless
•   Training and consulting

Giunti Labs provides the learn eXact® suite, Europe's leading e-learning and mobile learning content management technology. This suite is interoperable with all major vendor-driven and open source LMS and VLE solutions in the market including Plateau, Oracle, SumTotal, Saba, WebCT, Blackboard, Sakai, LRN and Moodle.

Moreover, Giunti Labs does not just adhere to the international standards relating to the LMS/LCMS world, it is one of the organisations that helps to determine and drive these standards: co-writing and developing them. Giunti Labs plays a key role in most of the international institutions for the definition of eLearning specifications (IEEE LTSC, ISO/IEC JTC1/SC36, CEN/ISSS WSLT, AICC, IMS, ADL-SCORM and OKI).
