FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – On April 1, American website traffic specialist Eli Pedelty will be launching a free 5-day online course that teaches the foundations of building website traffic. The 5-lesson course is an attempt by Pedelty to “give ‘normal’ people an understanding of how Internet marketing works and show them what it takes to bring interested customers to a website.”

The course is titled “Direct Methods for Increasing Website Traffic” and will be available at Pedelty’s new site www.EliPedelty.com. The lessons will explain and elaborate on basic techniques used by successful online marketers. Search engine optimization (SEO), opt-in list building, online article directories, pay-per-click advertising, and general website improvement will all be discussed.

“Far too much online marketing information is geared towards SEO experts,” said Pedelty. “Most of it [marketing info] is about web analytic tools and link building. Yet the average business owner doesn’t even know which traits Google looks for when it ranks a website.”

According to emarketer.com, the web’s largest online marketing news source, $82 billion were spent online at U.S. retail websites in 2005. $102 billion were spent in 2006. And predicted online sales for 2007 are over $132 billion.

Large online businesses like amazon.com consistently earn a majority of these profits. But there is still a lot of online business to go around according to Pedelty. “The average business owner isn’t missing out on the online market because he doesn’t have the budget to advertise... he’s missing out because he doesn’t know enough about what it takes to bring customers to a website. I think these lessons will be a very helpful map.”

“Direct Methods for Increasing Website Traffic” will be available, free of charge, at midnight on Saturday, March 31 at www.EliPedelty.com.
