Klaus Guingand was the first contemporary artist to exhibit at the Louvre (Foss Charles V) in Paris, in
1995. Léo Castelli opened his home to Guingand and also visited the artist in his Paris studio, the great
international art critic Pierre Restany, who actively supported him, were great friends.
In 1996, Guingand organized an auction for some of this work to assist in the fight against AIDS.
He is also the friend of some of the greatest stars of our time.

2007 is the last year the artist will paint shadow portraits.
