Karting is fast becoming the most popular activity for Stag and Hen parties in the North of England. At Batley’s circuit, near Bradford, they are currently experiencing an ever-increasing number of Hen parties visiting them for fun karting session, before heading to the bars and clubs in Leeds city centre.
Karting is a fantastic sport, ideal for groups of varying sizes. The karts are deceptively quick, but after a brief familiarization session drivers soon pick up the basics. Whether your group take part in a racing format or decide to battle against the clock in a practice session, you can guarantee that the whole group will have an enjoyable time!
Clare Norton, 26, from Leeds, arranged her Hen party activity at Batley. None of the girls in her party had been karting before, so she wasn’t sure how the day would be received by the group.
“I was a bit nervous when I announced to the girls what we’d be doing, because I knew none of them had been karting before. That’s why I specifically arranged it, because I wanted us to do something that we’d not done before!”
Clare and her ten friends ended up having a fantastic time at Batley’s circuit. They were given full training and safety briefing before they went on to the circuit, and all the required equipment, including gloves, helmets and overalls were provided.
“We were surprised how much we enjoyed it,” admits Clare.
In fact, some of the girls enjoyed it so much that they’ve been back for more!
“A few of the girls absolutely loved it, and they’re now regulars at the circuit!” says Clare.
Fully experienced members of staff are always on hand at Batley’s course, so any concerns can be answered and the staff are always happy to pass on driving tips to help you increase that lap time.
“I thought the staff might be a little shocked when a group of girls turned up, but it seems that they get loads of Hen parties at the circuit!”
The karts offer superb excitement and a lot of great laughs, making it the ideal Hen activity. Leeds, with its vibrant night life and rowdy pubs and clubs, is only 20 minutes away.
Newcomers to the sport are particularly welcome, and whatever your level of driving, you’ll have a fantastic karting experience!
