Eight iUniverse Titles Receive Finalist Honors in Reader Views Awards

The First Annual Reader Views Literary Awards recently honored eight books from iUniverse, the leading provider of supported self-publishing services.

NEW YORK (Mar. 9, 2007) – Eight iUniverse titles recently received finalist honors in the First Annual Reader Views Literary Awards. This awards program was established to honor writers who are self-published or have published their books with a university press, independent book publisher or small press that targets readers in North America. Work published by major book publishers, their subsidiaries, or imprints are ineligible. All entries must be intended for an adult/young adult reading audience.  

First, second and third place awards are issued in each category of the Reader Views competition. First place winners receive $150 and an internationally distributed press release, second place receives $100 and third place receives $50; each receives a certificate. Fourth and fifth place titles receive an Honorable Mention certificate.

The iUniverse titles honored as finalists in the 2006 Reader Views Book Awards include:

General Fiction:
▪  Second Place—Anne Booney: My Pirate Story by Jeffery S. Williams
▪  Honorable Mention—A Man of His Village by Tanyo Ravicz

Fiction—Mystery/Thriller/Suspense:
▪  Honorable Mention: Body Count by Darrell James
▪  Honorable Mention: Crown's Law by Wolf Wootan

Nonfiction—Memoir/Autobiography/Biography:
▪  First Place: A Speck in God's Eye by Lola Schroeder and William J. Bellom
▪  Third Place: Angels at the Crossroads by Ann H. Gabhart

Nonfiction—Self-help:
▪  First Place: Can I Exercise Sitting Down? by Renee Wiggins
▪  Honorable Mention: Forever Sentimental Vol. III by Kenyatta
