SALIENT FEATURES:
Up to 100 mm gap between motion detector probe and target possible.
Rugged, low maintenance, suitable for tough environments.
Electronics integral with probe as well as remote models available.
1 SPDT Form C relay contact.
Provides cost-effective protection.
APPLICATIONS:
Typical applications include tail pulley shafts, driven pulleys, motor shaft sensing and screw conveyor flights.
This rugged system is impervious to dust, dirt, build-up and moisture and is ideal for such primary industries as mining, aggregate, and cement plants. The non-contacting design eliminates the need for lubricating, cleaning and part replacement. Downtime and clean-up expenses associated with conveying equipment failure are reduced by the ZSS. It alarms to minimize spillage, prevent excessive damage or even fire caused by belt slippage at the head pulley and warn against conveyor malfunction.
Key Applications:
conveyor flights.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
When power is initially applied to the zero speed switch, the alarm relay is
energized and held by the initial timing circuit for the desired set duration. Whenever the motion detector encounters a target it generates a pulse that re-triggers another internal timing circuit. This action keeps the output relay energized providing a fail-safe operation of the contacts. If no target is sensed within the set time duration, the timing circuit is not re-triggered. The relay is thereby de-energized and the contacts change state. These relay contacts can be used for signaling / controlling.
