FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – Preston A. Gitlin and Michael D. Patton, co-founders of CR Communities, announced today the formal launch of their flagship residential project, “Three Springs at Magallanes” (http://www.crcommunities.com/properties/prop.php?currdev ...) a stunning 24-lot, Pacific ocean-view development five minutes from downtown San Ramon, Costa Rica. The property offers expansive ocean and mountain views, large building sites, and convenient access to a wide variety of services.

While several residential developments aimed at foreigners currently exist in the San Ramon area, CR Communities was founded to serve the baby boomer population that is nearing retirement. Baby boomers expect higher quality in terms of community planning and home design and construction, and CR Communities is going to great lengths to ensure their projects are of the highest quality in the area.

Gitlin and Patton, both Americans, are residing in San Ramon where their operations and properties are located. San Ramon (http://www.crcommunities.com/aboutcr/whysr.php), an agricultural town of about 60,000 people, is 50 minutes northwest of San Jose and about one hour from the Pacific beaches.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to work in such a terrific place as San Ramon,” Gitlin said. “San Ramon is small enough to offer a friendly, hometown feeling, but big enough to offer all of the services anyone needs.”

Joining Gitlin and Patton at CR Communities is Andrew Mastrandonas, who is serving as the firm’s marketing and strategic planning advisor. Mastrandonas, who owns Angel Valley Farm B&B (http://www.angelvalleyfarmbandb.com) and Boomers in Costa Rica Tours (http://www.boomersincostarica.com), led Internet sales, distribution and strategic planning at US Airways prior to moving to Costa Rica.

“I am very pleased to be working with Preston and Mike,” Mastrandonas said. “When I moved to San Ramon two years ago, I searched for partners who shared my values and also wanted to do high quality work in San Ramon. Now I’ve found them in Preston and Mike.

The quality of real estate projects could be raised a notch or two in San Ramon as baby boomers will demand it, and I think this is the only team that has the skills to do it. They also bring integrity to everything they do which is one of the most important factors for people buying real estate in a foreign country. “

San Ramon is increasingly attracting foreigners looking for reasonably priced properties and a high quality of life as other parts of the Central Valley are becoming too expensive and congested for North American retirees. In the San Ramon area, it is still possible to purchase an ocean-view property and build a home for under $150,000.

Gitlin and Patton plan to raise the standard for residential communities in San Ramon and are working with award-winning architects, site planners, engineers and builders to assist them in developing their real estate projects. They have also spent many months planning their premiere project, “Three Springs at Magallanes,” to ensure it meets the high standards North American retirees and baby boomers are expecting. Until today, high quality developments did not exist in San Ramon but were typically found in towns such as Atenas, Santa Ana and Escazu.

“San Ramon is still a bit behind other areas in terms of the quality of residential developments aimed at foreigners,” said co-founder Mike Patton. “Baby boomers in particular are expecting more thoughtfully-planned communities and a higher quality of home construction. We plan to offer our clients the best combination of price, properties, and homes that San Ramon has to offer. Our clients are also our neighbors and friends and we want them to be happy throughout the entire process. When they are in their homes and living the ‘Pura Vida” life, then we’ll know we’ve done our job.”
