March 6, 2007 (DURHAM, NC) – f8 Photo Studios in Raleigh, a partnership of Cara Galati and Jonathan Kaz, was selected to photograph the American Diabetes Association (ADA) of Raleigh’s fourth annual “Investing In A Cure” gala held in February at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham, NC.
Honorary Chair for the 2007 gala was Christopher B. Newgard, Ph.D., a noted researcher in metabolic regulatory mechanisms and the development of therapeutic strategies for diabetes management. Newgard is the director of the Sarah W. Stedman Nutrition Center at Duke University Medical Center.
The fundraising event included food, dancing, awards presentation, and both a live and silent auction.

The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy. It’s mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
The ADA funds research, publishes scientific findings, provides information and other services to people with diabetes, their families, health professionals and the public. The organization is also actively involved in advocating for scientific research and for the rights of people with diabetes.
