Bristol County Savings Bank’s 7 new Senior Vice Presidents: Patrick Carey will oversee all of Bristol County Savings Bank’s commercial lending activities in Rhode Island as Senior Vice President/Commercial Lending. Carey, who has been with Bristol County Savings for 8 years, was previously Vice President Commercial Loans. A graduate of Assumption College, Carey received his MBA from Western New England College. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Ocean State Business Development Authority.
Based out of Bristol County Savings’ Taunton, MA headquarters, Julie Chapman is responsible for overseeing Retail Branch Operations and Regulatory Compliance in her role as Senior Vice President. Formerly Vice President Compliance, Chapman has been employed by Bristol County Savings for 5 years. Chapman, who received her B.S. in Finance and Economics from Syracuse University, is also a Graduate of the National School of Banking at Fairfield University. She is currently a member of the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Massachusetts Bankers Association’
Bob DeMoura, Senior Vice President/Systems will provide oversight of all computer operations and Information Technology initiatives at Bristol County Savings Bank, operating from the bank’s headquarters in Taunton, MA. DeMoura has risen through the ranks at Bristol County Savings, starting out as a part time teller over 20 years ago. DeMoura is a graduate of Providence College, where he received his B.S. degree.
As Senior Vice President/Attleboro Region, Steve Hardy will provide oversight of the lending function for Attleboro, MA region for Bristol County Savings Bank. Hardy started out as an Assistant Vice President for Bristol County Savings 11 years ago, subsequently being promoted to Vice President Commercial Loan Officer and Team Leader. Hardy, who received his M.B.A. from the University of Delaware, is a member of the Providence Chamber of Commerce, the Hockomock YMCA, the United Way of Bristol County Massachusetts, and the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association.
Dennis Leahy, Senior Vice President/Finance will oversee Bristol County Savings Bank’s Accounting/Finance department. Based out of the bank’s Taunton, MA headquarters, he is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, strategic planning, liquidity, and investment portfolio management. Leahy has been with Bristol County Savings for over 11 years, previously serving as Controller, Assistant Vice President/Controller, and Vice President/Controller. A Certified Public Accountant, Leahy is a graduate of Bridgewater State College, with a B.S. in Accounting/Finance. He is also a graduate of the National School of Banking at Fairfield University. Leahy is currently Treasurer of the Bridgewater State College Foundation, Immediate Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Taunton, MA, a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, Past President of Community Partnerships/
As Senior Vice President/Marketing based out of Bristol County Savings Bank’s Taunton, MA headquarters, Michele Roberts will oversee the bank’s marketing and public relations functions
and will also continue to serve as Clerk of the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation. With over 15 years of experience at Bristol County Savings, Roberts has received a series of promotions over the years, and mostly recently held the position of Vice President/Marketing. A graduate of the School for Financial Studies at Babson College, Roberts will graduate in July 2007 from the National School of Banking at Fairfield University. Roberts is currently the 1st Vice President of the Girl Scout Council of Southeastern Massachusetts, Assistant Treasurer and Board Member of The Pawtucket Foundation, a Trustee of the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket, RI, a member and Past Treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Taunton, MA, a member of the Hopewell School Council, and Business Representative for Project B.E.S.T.
Senior Vice President Pete Selley will be the Group leader for Greater Taunton, Greater New Bedford and Greater Fall River for Bristol County Savings Bank, based out of the Bank’s Taunton, MA headquarters. During his preceding 12 years with Bristol County Savings, Selley was Assistant Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer, and Vice President. Selley, who served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, received an Associates degree from Fisher College and also attended Southeastern Massachusetts University. He is also a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers School at Babson College. Currently, Selley is Chairman of the Loan Committee for the New Bedford Economic Development Corporation, and is also a YMCA and United Way volunteer.
