The Concert for the Oceans Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean and climate conservation, has today announced that Sir George Martin has been named Honorary Executive Producer for the “In Concert with the Climate and the Oceans” international concert series.

“We are excited to have Sir George Martin as an honorary member of our organization,” commented Leonard Sonnenschein, President of the Concert for the Oceans Foundation. “We look forward to working with Sir George to help us organize our concert series due to his extensive collection of friends and well known talent,” he added.

Sir George Martin is most famous for his role as the producer for The Beatles, Jeff Beck, Kenny Rogers and others. In 2006, Sir George and his son, Giles Martin, remixed The Beatles’ music for Love, a stage performance joint venture between Cirque du Soleil and The Beatles' Apple Corps Ltd. It is hoped that the emotional connection of Love for each other will help to develop a new level of caring for the Climate, help Save the Planet and further protect our Oceans as consequences of this new series awareness and service and project activities expected to affect everyone on the planet!
