PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 02, 2007 -
Denver, CO, February 28, 2007 — Commemorate International Women’s Day, March 8, by flying across the globe to empower and enrich the lives of women in Africa.

Tanzanian women are gaining more rights, and their lives are beginning to evolve beyond the traditional roles of wife and mother.  However, while most women would like to embrace these changes, many lack the skills needed to move forward.

i-to-i, a meaningful travel provider, arranges trips for volunteers to work with underprivileged women in Moshi, Tanzania.  By teaching English, sharing simple business skills, and providing education on HIV and AIDS awareness, volunteers provide the tools to build better lives for women and their families.

Community work with women in Moshi, Tanzania trips range from one to 12 weeks in length and start dates are available twice a month.

“International Women’s Day has been observed since the early 1900s,” said Alexia Nestora, i-to-i North America. “Almost a century later, while there are more women in boardrooms of westernized countries, women in other countries still live and work in squalor and are in need of our help.”

Take steps to celebrate the lives of women by making a difference on your next vacation.  Think globally and act with the help of i-to-i Meaningful Travel.

Make any day International Women's Day.  Do your part to help ensure a bright future for girls and women around the globe.
