Mr. Imperato hopes that this opportunity will be bring the ownership of Chrysler to the people who built it, and will save union jobs. This proposal helps protect over 58,000 UAW jobs, and helps the state of Michigan and all other states associated with the Chrysler Corporation, to stay economically viable.
Imperato's strategy team includes retired Ford dealer and businessman LaVal Perry, who's father worked on the assembly line for Chrysler for 30 years and retired business CEO, Michael Cenit. In addition, the President of the Utility Workers of America Local 508, Darrel Grindeland, in Michigan on union business, is part of the strategy team.
Imperato's mission is to show the American people that he will protect their interests foremost. He knows he has the power, the strength, and the wisdom to achieve this to save the US auto industry.
The buyout would be a major victory for US labor.
