Honey Bee, Bed Bug and Other Insect Research Available Online

Dozens of scientific symposia from the most recent annual meeting of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) are now available online.

PRLog (Press Release) – Lanham, MD; March 1, 2007 – Dozens of scientific symposia from the most recent annual meeting of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) are now available online. The presentations, which include Power Point and audio, cover research on a wide range of insects, including honey bees, bed bugs, termites and agricultural pests, and a wide range of subjects, including pest management, disease, biotech crops, invasive species and more.

For a limited time, the online presentations will be available at no cost to science journalists and other members of the media. All other interested individuals can access the presentations for $75.00 (students can have access for $25.00 and meeting attendees get it for free).

The four-day meeting, which took place in December, 2006 in Indianapolis, included the following five program symposia themes:

* Insect-Inspired Technology
* Using Entomology to Benefit Society
* Contributions of Social Insect Studies to Science and Society
* Applied Insect Chemical Ecology
* Entomological Developments in the 20th-21st Century

The online presentations, which are searchable by keyword or by chronological date, and contact information for the presenters are available through the ESA web site at:
