Over the last decade, Karting has seen a momentous raise in popularity, particularly amongst Hen and Stag Parties in West Yorkshire, who are looking for something exciting to do before they hit the pubs and clubs.
West Yorkshire can boast two of the best Karting circuits in the UK, one based in Batley and another one in Wetherby.
The well-established Batley track is only minutes away from Leeds city centre and has excellent road and rail access from York, Bradford, Harrogate and Huddersfield. Its 300 metre indoor track offers something for both beginners and experienced drivers, making it ideal for groups of any size.
Batley’s renowned 90 metre straight is talked about in Karting circles the world round, allowing drivers to reach exhilarating speeds in their amazingly quick Karts. A wide range of packages means that all group requirements can be met.
Paula Howell, 30, of Selby, arranged her Hen Night in Leeds city centre and needed an activity in the afternoon.
“We didn’t want to just spend all day in the pub, so I looked on the internet and found that Karting was really popular amongst Stag and Hen groups. We went to Batley’s circuit, as it wasn’t far from Leeds city centre. We all had a truly amazing time. The karts have to be driven to be believed,” recalls Paula.
Full safety briefings and training are provided, ensuring everybody gets the most from their Karting experience.
Mark Kennedy, 24, from York, was given the task of organizing his best friend’s Stag Party. He decided to book the group for a karting session at the Wetherby circuit.
With excellent facilities and a challenging 300 metre track to contend with, Mark’s party had a great time, before heading into the centre of York.
“The speed was amazing, and I can honestly say everyone in the group enjoyed it. Even the lads who came last in the races!” said Mark.
