Since inception, PerTOOLS.com the Time-Series Analysis software group has operated as a web only business. However, this lack of being able to “speak to a real person” may have put some people off.
Today PerTOOLS.com announced that they are appointing resellers of their products to manage the relationships with their clients. The announcement is only days after the launch of their new product PerTOOLS Financial Analysis for Excel. Paul Darvell of PerTOOLS.com told me that “Right from the beginning we decided to take one step at a time with PerTOOLS.com, after all, the products that we are offering are totally unique. The launch of PerTOOLS Financial Analysis for Excel and now the Resellers Program is our way of continuing our growth in a controlled and manageable fashion. We already have a working reseller model in place. We have been working with ESL in Israel as a pilot to this program. The feedback from the growing Israeli market has been very pleasing and is something that we are looking to build upon.”.
This approach should be successful for PerTOOLS.com as due to the nature of the PerTOOLS.com product range, resellers will not have to choose between PerTOOLS.com and another product. If I am right, I think that we can expect to see more of PerTOOLS.com in the future.
