Voicey Awards Finalists Announced at Voices.com

Get ready to hit the red carpet of voice overs with the Voicey Awards finalists, some of the finest voice talent in the world.

PRLog (Press Release)Feb 16, 2007 – Toronto, Canada (PRLOG) February 16 – Voices.com ( http://www.voices.com ), the #1 voice over marketplace, is thrilled to reveal the finalists for the Voicey Awards, honoring voice actors and voice talents for their contributions and efforts over the year in the voice over industry.

There are five categories up for grabs, including Best Male Voice, Best Female Voice, Best New Voice, Best Personal Branding, and a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Finalists in the category of Best New Voice include Kara Edwards, John Small, Caryn Clark, Dana Detrick, and Anne Swist.

Finalists in the category of Best Female Voice include Kim Somers, Deborah Cardarella, Rachel Robinson, Patty Mattson, and Barbara Ann Davison.

Finalists in the category of Best Male Voice comprise of Bryan Cox, Chris Fries, Ari Ross, Brian Haymond, and Adam Behr.

Finalists in the category of Best Personal Branding include Bruce Barker, Jay Buck, Julie Williams, Johnny George, and Caryn Clark.

Finalists in the category of Lifetime Achievement include Gordon Gibb, Barbara Ann Davison, Ken Jackson, Bettye Zoller, and Derek Partridge.

The winners of the Voicey Awards will be announced via the VOX Talk podcast on February 21st, 2007, selected by a panel of industry judges including Rodney Saulsberry, Marc Graue and Nancy Wolfson.

About Nancy Wolfson

Based in Los Angeles, CA Nancy Wolfson is a private voice over consultant and freelance casting director for commercials, animation, narration, and audio books. She writes, produces, and directs demos for her clients and has been the leading coach in the top market(s) over a decade. Her coursework has been accredited at the university level in private and group classes throughout North America and Europe. For over 15 years, she has worked with beginners, working pros, and celebrities as a producer and talent agent.


About Rodney Saulsberry

Rodney Saulsberry is one of the top voice-over talents in the United States. For more than a decade the Detroit native and University of Michigan graduate has given voice to many commercial campaigns, including Toyota, Alpo, Colgate, and movie trailers such as, Finding Forrester, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Dumb and Dumberer, The Best Man, and Friday After Next. Saulsberry also lends his character voice to that animated Jazzman in Zatarain’s television spots. As an announcer, he has worked on the NAACP Image Awards, and the Essence Awards television specials. Saulsberry, the voice of Joe Robbie Robertson on the cartoon series Spider-Man, resides in Agoura, California.
